
Ingredients ( for 4 servings):
- 700 grams of chicken breast or tights
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 2 green peppers, cut into strips
- 2 slices of pineapple, cut into eighths
- 1 tomato, cut into wedges
- Small amount of sesame seeds and roasted peanuts
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2/3 cup of water
- 3 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 1/2 of cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
Methods:
- Peels off skin from the chicken.
- Cut the chicken into bite size pieces.
- Heat a wok and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add in the crushed garlic and stir-fry until aroma is released.
- Add in the chicken and stir fry until golden brown.
- Drain excess grease from the chicken and put aside
- In another 3-quart sauce pan, heat the sweet and sour sauce ingredients over medium heat, stir until thickened.
- Add in the chicken that fried before this followed by tomato,green peppers and pineapple. Cook for 15 minutes, covered over medium heat.
- Serve with roasted peanuts or sesame seeds or both sprinkled on top.
