Sweet and Sour Chicken


Ingredients ( for 4 servings):
  1. 700 grams of chicken breast or tights
  2. 1 clove garlic, crushed
  3. 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  4. 2 green peppers, cut into strips
  5. 2 slices of pineapple, cut into eighths
  6. 1 tomato, cut into wedges
  7. Small amount of sesame seeds and roasted peanuts
For the sweet and sour sauce:
  1. 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  2. 2/3 cup of water
  3. 3 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  4. 1/2 of cup sugar
  5. 2 tablespoons of cornstarch

Methods:
  1. Peels off skin from the chicken.
  2. Cut the chicken into bite size pieces.
  3. Heat a wok and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  4. Add in the crushed garlic and stir-fry until aroma is released.
  5. Add in the chicken and stir fry until golden brown.
  6. Drain excess grease from the chicken and put aside
  7. In another 3-quart sauce pan, heat the sweet and sour sauce ingredients over medium heat, stir until thickened.
  8. Add in the chicken that fried before this followed by tomato,green peppers and pineapple. Cook for 15 minutes, covered over medium heat.
  9. Serve with roasted peanuts or sesame seeds or both sprinkled on top.
